WHO CAN BORROW

Anyone with a valid ID-card

LOAN PERIOD

Books may be borrowed for 28 days. Journals and magazines may be borrowed for one week. You are responsible for the material you borrow. You will be assessed with fees if your material is damaged or lost.

You can renew loans five times  by sending email to kirjasto(at)alli.fi and ask for renewal. You can also renew by phone by calling 020 755 2601 or 020 755 2602.

RESERVE BOOKS

Library users can reserve books online by going to the library database's search page. From the search results, select the title by clicking "Lisää koriin". After picking the interesting titles, click "Lähetä sähköpostia  kirjastoon". Fill all the empty boxes; title,message, sender etc.

If you want to have information on youth in Finland, you can use keyword fin-eng.

SEARCH

By boolean searching can be used conjunction with keyword and advanced searching to better target your searches. You can construct search "statements" to narrow the scope of your search results. The principles of Boolean searching are defined below.

Use JA or TAI to broaden the search. Use EI to exclude words and limit the results.

TRUNCATION
Words may be right-hand truncated using an asterisk. Use a single asterisk * to truncate from 1-3 characters.
